Master the Low Bar Back Squat

The low bar back squat, when done correctly, allows most lifters to move more weight than a traditional back squat. However, this movement is technical and is therefore often coached incorrectly and/or programmed ineffectively. Mastering this lift is a key component in optimal overall strength & hypertrophy training.

Your Instructor: Stuart Locke

Stuart is Pre-Script's director of strength sports and current educator responsible for the Barbell Course. Stuart also owns an apparel and coaching brand called Kodiak Barbell. Stuart was a 2 sport varsity athlete at the university of Ottawa, playing both football and rugby. Playing defensive line on the football team and front row on the rugby team. In Stuart's second year of rugby he was elected team captain- the first time a second year player had been given the honor in Ottawa history Stuart's coaching style depends strongly on the coach athlete relationship and the development of a strong bond with each athlete.
